TJPR: the Além das Pétalas exhibition at the Paraná Court of Justice

In May 2024, the Paraná State Court of Justice (TJPR) opened its Mother's Day tributes with Além das Pétalas (Beyond the Petals), an exhibition by Jacqueline Benevides. The show opened on May 7 on the Esplanade of the Annex Building of the Palace of Justice in Curitiba, Brazil, and was open to the public until May 24.

The news story, published by the Court's communications team, presents Jacqueline as an artist known for handmade giant flowers that look like sculptures. At the opening, she linked her work to the women in her own family: "My grandmother and my mother had many manual skills, and I developed them in another way, bringing art to flowers of this size." She added: "I have carried out major projects outside Brazil, and being invited by the Court to exhibit in my home state is a great honor for me."

The opening ceremony brought together the Court's leadership, who highlighted the role of mothers among the institution's staff, judges and collaborators.
