Brand Activation Ideas & Examples

A brand activation is what takes a brand off the logo on the wall and turns it into an experience: a place people walk into, interact with and photograph. At launches, parties and promotional events, giant flowers do exactly that. They stop passersby and turn the visit into an image people share.

At the launch of new fragrances by Ciclo Cosméticos, a Brazilian perfume brand, the floral and fruity notes became a garden of giant peonies, hibiscus and poppies in Italian crepe paper. Three-dimensional oranges and peaches completed the tables, and press, influencers and guests walked through the perfume before trying it. For the 25th anniversary of Shopping Crystal, a mall in Curitiba, southern Brazil, the shopping bag, the mall's symbol, was scaled up, filled with flowers and became a place to stop in the middle of the corridors.

For the launch of Lily Gardênia by O Boticário, a Brazilian perfume and beauty chain, white lilies took over the windows, the tables and even the ceilings of selected stores. Cruise, a Brazilian fashion brand, took its activation to social media: ten pink organza flower sculptures, sent to influencers in wooden boxes that open like a shop window. And for Scandal by Jean Paul Gaultier, giant flowers in yellow, orange, red and white were the set of a video produced in Brazil and posted on the brand's profile.

When the activation happens inside the store, it meets POP displays. In every one of these activations, the starting question was the same: what should people feel when they walk in? In our studio, the answer becomes color, scale and shape.
