Event scenography is the design of the space where an event takes place: what guests see, walk through and photograph, from the entrance to the stage. At a corporate event, it's almost always at the entrance that guests decide whether the night will be remembered. A hotel ballroom, a convention hall or the company's own headquarters takes on a different atmosphere when the decor makes the first move, before any speech.
To celebrate hitting a target, the payments company EBANX held its year-end party at its own headquarters in Curitiba, southern Brazil. Right off the elevator, a scenic ceiling recreated the bottom of the sea. In the garden, giant flowers mixed with tropical plants, and a flower wall over 10 meters long (33 ft) framed the brand's sign. At the Gala of Hospital Pequeno Príncipe, a Brazilian children's hospital, in São Paulo, a portal of flowers in a pink gradient softened the brick walls and dark doors of the ballroom. At Noite dos Chefes, another charity event of the same hospital in Curitiba, translucent organza flowers seemed to glow from within under the room's lighting.
For the 20th anniversary of ILAPEO, a dental research and teaching institute, flowers lit at the base and center brought color to a scientific conference and also softened the harsh shadows in the photos. On the stage of Miss Paraná, a state beauty pageant, flowers sprang from the floor on curved stems and framed each contestant for the live broadcast. And in the lobby of the Paraná State Government, the same set ran through October, November and Christmas, changing only the colors and the backdrop.
