Garden of Light and Power at the Alcance Church Women's Conference

For the Alcance Church Women's Conference, in Curitiba, the goal was to turn the spacious entrance hall into a space of warmth, beauty, and strength. We leaned into the fluidity of giant organza flowers combined with the striking texture of Italian crepe paper, creating an immersive visual experience that welcomed thousands of women from the very first step.

The Challenge

Designing for a foyer of grand architectural scale calls for solutions that fill the space without weighing it down visually. The challenge was to create multiple high-impact spaces that felt both sophisticated and feminine, working equally well as a backdrop for group photos and as an immediate, warm welcome for every guest.

The Floral Installation

In the main corridor, around mirrors and crystal chandeliers, we installed an ethereal grove of hand-shaped giant organza flowers. The ambient lighting passed through the translucent petals, creating a play of light and shadow, reinforced by butterflies suspended in the same material.

For the photo focal points, we created scenic walls with giant flowers in Italian crepe paper in palettes of red, pink, orange, and yellow — the paper's rich texture and waves created contrast with organza's lightness. Small mirrors set into the flower centers reflected the light and movement of the space. Lounges with armchairs surrounded by flowers growing up from the floor completed the experience, inviting guests to interact directly with the installation.
